Zoomlion Ghana Limited has deployed 100 new waste management trucks across Ghana’s 16 regions, with an additional 100 vehicles slated for imminent delivery.
The initiative aims to modernize national sanitation infrastructure, extending coverage to underserved communities and improving emergency response capabilities during high-demand periods.
At the Eastern Region fleet launch, New Juaben South Municipal Sanitation Chairman Enoch Boahene stated the trucks would enhance operational efficiency district-wide. “Without Zoomlion’s innovations, waste would have engulfed the country,” Boahene noted, citing resolved accumulation hotspots in New Juaben through company-assembly collaboration. He urged stakeholders to support Zoomlion’s sanitation efforts.
Emil Amoah, General Manager of Zoomlion subsidiary 360 Waste Limited, confirmed the deployment reflects strategic investment in modern equipment and service delivery. “This expansion underscores our commitment to environmental protection and sustainable urban development,” he stated. The trucks feature advanced technology for reliable operations across diverse conditions.
Zoomlion continues partnering with Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to align services with local needs. The company emphasizes collaborative governance for lasting environmental health improvements, noting partnerships are “grounded in mutual respect and shared vision.” Authorities nationwide welcome the deployment as critical for addressing urbanization-linked sanitation challenges.
