Vice President Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has called for intensified public education on the work of the Ghana Prisons Service.
She said it would help demystify misconceptions and strengthen the Service’s public image.

She commended the Service for its ongoing interventions, particularly its innovative agricultural projects, which she described as a step towards self-sufficiency and an effective tool for rehabilitation.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang urged the Service to continue developing such initiatives, noting that they provide inmates with practical skills and opportunities for reintegration into society after serving their terms.
