Ghana’s creativity and entrepreneurial spirit will take center stage this September as This is Ghana Exhibition 2025 returns, promising its biggest and most exciting edition yet. Scheduled for September 6–7, 2025, at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra, the two-day event opens at 10 a.m. daily, bringing together the country’s finest homegrown products, innovations, and services.

More than a marketplace, the exhibition provides entrepreneurs, startups, and established brands with the opportunity to showcase their work, connect with investors, and access both local and international markets, while also celebrating national pride and encouraging Ghanaians to recognize the value of locally made goods.

Organized by Channel One TV and Citi FM, the exhibition has grown over the years into a deliberate initiative to promote Made-in-Ghana products, nurture entrepreneurship, and build export readiness. From traditional crafts to cutting-edge technologies, it highlights Ghana’s diverse talent and industrial capability, giving businesses a platform to present themselves to thousands of potential clients and partners.

Samuel Attah-Mensah, Managing Director of Channel One TV and Citi FM, explained that every product showcased at the exhibition must be made or assembled in Ghana. He emphasized that the event provides a platform to highlight Ghana’s capabilities across manufacturing, innovation, and value addition, demonstrating the country’s potential to produce high-quality, competitive goods.

The exhibition also tackles several long-standing challenges that have limited the growth of local products. Many Ghanaian businesses struggle with limited infrastructure, high production costs, inconsistent quality, and marketing and distribution gaps, which often make their products less competitive than imported alternatives. Regulatory hurdles and limited export readiness further constrain opportunities for SMEs and startups to access international markets.

Among these challenges, one of the most persistent is the perception that imported goods are inherently superior to local products.

This mindset, which many Ghanaians, perhaps around 80%, still hold, has deep roots in historical, cultural, and economic factors. Over the years, early quality gaps, heavy marketing by international brands, and societal notions of prestige reinforced this bias. Events like This is Ghana are gradually shifting this narrative by showcasing innovative, high-quality, and value-added products, demonstrating that Ghanaian creativity and craftsmanship can compete on any stage.

Now in its multiple editions, This Is Ghana has grown steadily as a key platform for entrepreneurship, innovation, and cultural celebration. Each year, the exhibition has expanded in scope, both in the diversity of exhibitors and the range of industries represented. Visitors can expect interactive demonstrations, live showcases, and networking opportunities that highlight Ghana’s capacity in value-added processing, technical innovation, and modern entrepreneurship.

Innovative SMEs like CocoLyf will display coconut-based drinks and pastries that combine health benefits with local ingenuity, while the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) will provide on-the-spot guidance on export procedures, product registration, and market opportunities abroad.

The exhibition is powered by Channel One TV and Citi FM, with sponsorship from MTN, Ecobank, Syde Hassle, Ghana Enterprises Agency, GEPA, and Ghana Exim Bank, and supported by Twellium Industrial Company Limited and Built Financial Technologies.
