NSA: Ashanti Regional Director transferred to Bono Region

Kwame Baa Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Director of the National Sports Authority, has been transferred to the Bono Region.

He is expected to hand over to his successor on July 11, 2025, and report to work at his new post three days later.

Kwame Baa Mensah has previously served as a Senior Management member and Head of Monitoring and Evaluation at the Head Office in Accra.

He was also the Authority’s focal person on the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan (NACAP) of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ).

He was transferred from the regional office to head the NSA in the Ashanti Region, two years after he co-authored an eleven-point petition against the then NSA Director-General, Professor Peter Twumasi. The petition accused Twumasi of procurement breaches, misuse of state resources, receipt of double salaries, and award of contracts to ghost and non-existent companies in an eight-page petition to the NSA’s governing body.

Baah Mensah has a Master’s Degree in Local Governance Administration and Organization from the Institute of Local Government Studies Accra, a Bachelor of Arts Degree Honours in French from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria, a certificate in the Organization of Major Sports Events and Facility Management from the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), Ministry of Commerce, Beijing –China.
