Africa‘s education sector is witnessing a major shift with the launch of Bildup AI’s “AI in Every Classroom” initiative, a programme aimed at integrating artificial intelligence into classrooms across Nigeria and eventually the continent.
The company has committed ₦500 million ($314,750) over the next year to accelerate the adoption of AI-driven learning, positioning Nigeria at the forefront of a new wave of technology-led education reform.
The initiative is designed to address long-standing challenges in Africa’s education system, including overcrowded classrooms, limited resources, and a lack of personalized instruction. By deploying AI tutors tailored to each student’s learning style, proficiency, and pace, Bildup AI is aiming to democratize access to high-quality education.
“Today is a historic turning point, not just for Bildup AI and Adorable British College, but for the future of education in Nigeria and Africa,” said Bildup AI CEO, Chibuike Aguene.
“As Africa’s first indigenous AI tutor is integrated into a Nigerian classroom, we are witnessing the future of learning unfold before us. This proves that Nigeria can lead the world in technological innovation that directly addresses our educational challenges.”
Adorable British College in Enugu has become the first school on the continent to fully adopt Bildup AI’s system. As part of the rollout, the company donated tablets to support the school’s technology infrastructure and ensure a smooth integration of the AI tools. The platform offers real-time feedback, adapts to individual students‘ needs, and supports teachers by freeing up time for mentorship and deeper instructional support.
“We’re not replacing teachers,” the company said in a statement. “We’re amplifying their impact, giving them tools to mentor, to guide, and to focus on what matters most.”
Bildup AI’s model also includes data-driven features for schools and real-time reporting tools for parents, promoting stronger collaboration between families, teachers, and institutions. The goal is a more personalized, inclusive, and transparent learning experience for every student.

Beyond the initial launch, Bildup AI is targeting a broader rollout: 1 million students within the next year, and 10 million across Africa within five years. The company’s AI tutor is fully homegrown, developed by African technologists to respond to the continent’s specific educational needs.
“Technology has moved forward, but traditional education models have largely stayed the same,” the company noted. “Bildup AI is changing that, ensuring no child is left behind.”
The initiative is also a call to action for stakeholders across the education landscape. School leaders are being urged to integrate AI into their classrooms. Policymakers are encouraged to adapt national strategies to embrace digital tools. And parents are being asked to engage more closely in their children’s academic progress through AI-powered updates.
“This is not just about AI or EdTech, it’s about preparing African students for a digital economy,” Aguene said. “It’s about leadership, access, and building a system that finally works for all.”
As Nigeria moves forward, Bildup AI is positioning itself not just as a platform provider, but as a catalyst for a continent-wide education transformation, one that is locally built, globally competitive, and built to last.
