On June 28, 2025, M&C Group Global graced the 3rd annual JoyNews Impact Makers Awards, serving as headline sponsor for the inspiring event held at Ecobank’s Head Office in Accra Central
M&C’s Group Chairman, Michael Leslie Bartlett‑Vanderpuye, took the stage to deliver more than just a sponsorship message. Alongside the company’s headline support, he pledged a donation of 10,000 GHC to each of the 10 impact awardees to support their projects, reinforcing M&C’s dedication to uplifting community leaders.
In his speech, Mr. Bartlett‑Vanderpuye urged other dignitaries and corporate entities to contribute actively, highlighting the role private-sector collaboration can play in easing the government’s burden and fostering sustainable grassroots development.

The evening was graced by Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, who served as the Special Guest of Honour. Her presence underscored the synergy between public-sector support and corporate philanthropy, particularly around issues of gender inclusion and community development.
This event fits within M&C Group’s broader philanthropic agenda. Under Mr. Bartlett‑Vanderpuye’s leadership, the company has earned several accolades, such as “Trading Company of the Year,” “Excellence in Business,” and “Most Innovative Business Executive”, demonstrating a firm commitment to economic and social impact.
Mr. Bartlett‑Vanderpuye’s address served as a clarion call: while M&C will continue to support emerging community champions, sustainable impact depends on a collaborative, multi-stakeholder approach.
He emphasized that coordinated private–public efforts could accelerate progress and reduce dependency on government intervention, ultimately generating more resilient and empowered communities.
M&C Group’s headline sponsorship, generous donation, and the influential presence of dignitaries like Dr. Lartey demonstrated a powerful message: corporate leadership, when paired with public-duty awareness, can play a pivotal role in nurturing Ghana’s social impact innovators.
