In a remarkable display of solidarity and statesmanship, former President John Agyekum Kufuor has visited President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama at their residence to offer his heartfelt condolences.
The visit follows the tragic military helicopter crash that resulted in the deaths of four high-ranking government officials, including a vice chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and three officers of the Ghana Air Force.
The gesture by the former president, Kufuor, underscores the importance of unity and compassion in moments of national grief, transcending political affiliations.
President Kufuor’s visit was not only a personal expression of sympathy but also a powerful message of national cohesion, as the country mourns the loss of dedicated public servants who died in the line of duty.
Vice-President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and other senior government officials were present to receive the former President and to thank him for his thoughtful gesture.
