Under the hood, the GTD packs a 5.2-liter supercharged Predator V8 that churns out a staggering 815 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. All of that power is sent to the rear wheels via a transaxle setup, visible through a special rear window that Farley himself insisted be added. It’s a detail that Jay clearly appreciates as the two dive deep into the engineering choices that make the GTD such a unicorn.
The interior gets the race treatment too. The paddle shifters are 3D-printed titanium, and the brakes are ceramic Brembos with titanium lug nuts—materials and hardware you’d expect to find on a GT3 car, not a Mustang with a license plate. Yet despite all this motorsport pedigree, the GTD still manages to retain a sense of usability. According to Leno, it feels like a car you could take to the track in the morning and drive to dinner in the evening.
