Rising Ghanaian musician Keddi has debunked claims that his song, “Few Questions for Tinny,” was a diss track aimed at veteran Ga rapper Tinny. According to Keddi, the song was meant as an inquiry not an attack.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz show, Keddi explained that the inspiration behind the track was to seek clarity on which up-and-coming Ga musician Tinny was supporting to follow in his footsteps.
“I can never diss Tinny because he is my godfather. He is someone I look up to a lot,” Keddi said.
He further revealed that the song was shared with Tinny prior to its release, and Tinny did not express any displeasure.
“Even before I released the song, it was sent to him, and I have a screenshot where he said, ‘Nice questions,’ ” Keddi added.
Despite the public speculation, Keddi emphasized that the intent behind the song was respectful and genuine. He noted that his team has made several attempts to reach out to Tinny for a potential collaboration.
“I’ve had a couple of people that are close to him try to reach out to him but till now I haven’t gotten any feedback,”he said.
Keddi, who is steadily gaining attention in the Ghanaian music scene, expressed hope that the veteran rapper would respond positively in the future.
