Trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange remained unchanged yesterday, July 2, 2025, with no recorded price movements across listed equities.
It marked the second consecutive session without any changes in stock prices, reflecting a notably quiet market environment as the third quarter begins.
At the close of the 6998th trading session, the GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) stood at 6,246.35 points, the same level recorded the day before. The GSE Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI) also closed flat at 3,373.02 points. Neither index registered any point movement for the day.
Market activity continued to slow. A total of 139,394 shares were traded yesterday, with a corresponding value of GH¢482,045.73, significantly lower than volumes seen earlier in the week.
Still, the market’s broader performance remains positive.
- The GSE-CI is up 27.78% year-to-date.
- The GSE-FSI has gained 41.68% since the start of the year, underlining strong momentum in the financial sector.
Market capitalization at the close of trading was GH¢137.27 billion, largely unchanged from the previous session.
