Ghanaians will soon enjoy more data for the same price on all major mobile networks, beginning July 1, 2025. The Minister for Communications, Samuel Nartey George, has announced that after a series of meetings with telecom companies, new and improved data packages will be rolled out to benefit consumers across the country.
Speaking at a press briefing, the Minister said, “I am pleased to announce that my engagement with the CEOs has resulted in the following specific measures, which have to take effect from Tuesday 1st of July 2025.”
These changes apply to the three major telecommunications providers: AT Ghana, Telecel Ghana, and MTN Ghana.

AT Ghana (AirtelTigo), will increase all its data bundles by 10 percent. For example, customers who purchase the GH¢400 data package will now receive 236 gigabytes instead of the previous 195 gigabytes.
Telecel Ghana is also introducing a 10 percent increase in its data packages. More notably, the company’s GH¢400 bundle, which currently gives 90 gigabytes, will now offer 250 gigabytes of data starting from July 5.
MTN Ghana has gone a step further with a 15 percent increase across all its bundles. In addition, a previous change to its popular GH¢399 bundle is being reversed. That package, which had been reduced to 92.88 gigabytes, will now be restored to 214 gigabytes.
These new measures are expected to bring relief to many mobile users, especially in communities where mobile internet is the main source of connectivity. People who rely on mobile data for work, school, and communication will be able to stay connected for longer without spending more money.
For business owners, students, families, and everyday mobile phone users, this is welcome news. The increase in data volumes means that more people can access information, attend online meetings or classes, and stay in touch with loved ones without worrying about running out of data too quickly.
The new bundles will officially begin from July 1 for AT Ghana and MTN Ghana, and from July 5 for Telecel Ghana.
