“Every year we come together to share our music, our food, our story with all of Canada. This year, we are dreaming even bigger… You are already a part of it.”

CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Maame Efua Houadjeto, encouraged Ghanaian vendors and participants to take advantage of the event to build long-lasting business relationships and enhance the global appeal of Ghanaian products.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, he explained that “We want you to establish very good networks… not just to promote your products, but to forge meaningful partnerships,” she said.

“We have good products, but we often lack proper packaging. Your packaging is everything. It sells you. It should be attractive enough to compete on the international market.”

The event is led by Araba, founder and organiser of Ghanafest Alberta, whose efforts were praised by Dr. Erieka Bennett, Head of Mission at the Diaspora Africa Forum.
