A condolence book for late highlife icon Charles Kwadwo Fosu, known as Daddy Lumba, will open to the public on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
The memorial will be hosted at his East Legon residence (Kinshasha Crescent, House No. 12, GA-332-9264) for fans, colleagues, and friends to pay tribute.
The family simultaneously announced a candlelight vigil at Accra’s Independence Square on August 2, 2025, honoring the musician whose career inspired generations. Daddy Lumba died on July 26 following a brief illness, with a family statement requesting privacy during their mourning period.
Public figures across Ghana have described his passing as a significant loss to the nation’s cultural heritage. The vigil aims to celebrate his legacy through communal remembrance. No funeral arrangements have been disclosed at this time.
