DAD Micro-Credit Ltd has extended its deepest condolences to the families of the eight officials who tragically lost their lives in a military helicopter crash on August 6, 2025.

The company, in a statement signed by its Executive Director, C. S. Dzitse-Awuku, also pledged to support the bereaved families and affected communities as the deceased persons were laid to rest on Friday, August 15.

The company’s pledge to “stand ready to support the bereaved families and affected communities in any appropriate way” is one of several offers of assistance that have come from the private sector since the tragedy.

Ms Dzitse-Awuku concluded by stating, “We join all Ghanaians in paying tribute to these gallant men and in standing together through this painful moment.”

The deadly crash, which occurred in the Ashanti Region, claimed the lives of eight public servants who were on an official mission.

The victims included two high-profile cabinet ministers, Defence Minister Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and six other personnel.

The crash has since been declared a national tragedy, prompting an outpouring of grief and tributes from across Ghana.

In its statement, DAD Micro-Credit Ltd paid homage to the victims, whom it described as “brave sons” and “fallen heroes” who dedicated their lives to national service.

“We honour their courage, service, and ultimate sacrifice. These fallen heroes dedicated their lives to the safety and well-being of others, and their legacy will never be forgotten,” the statement read.

As the nation observes a period of national mourning, the financial institution expressed its solidarity with the affected families.
