Another suspect, identified as Bernard Owusu Ansah, also known as “Hot Boy,” sustained gunshot wounds and is currently under 24-hour police guard at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

DCOP Teye-Cudjoe stated that the operation, launched around 11:30 a.m., led to the arrest of 10 suspects. The individuals currently in custody include:

Two of the suspects were apprehended later at Ejisu-Hwereso and Bantama.

Authorities also recovered a cache of items from the suspects’ hideouts, including three vehicles, several firearms  including pistols, pump-action and double-barrel shotguns, some loaded with live rounds  as well as laptop computers, mobile phones, various ID cards, wristwatches, an internet router, and face masks.

“The suspects are in lawful custody and will be arraigned before court in the coming days,” DCOP Teye-Cudjoe said. He also appealed to the public to support ongoing crime-fighting efforts by sharing credible information with the police.

The police say investigations are ongoing and have assured the public of their commitment to restoring safety and security across the region.
