The African Media and Malaria Research Network (AMMREN) has lauded the outgoing manager of the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP) for his exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to the fight against malaria in Ghana.

In a statement signed by AMMREN’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Charity Binka, the network praised the outgoing NMEP head for his visionary approach, tireless efforts, and commitment to transitioning Ghana’s malaria response from control to full elimination.

“Your commitment, vision, and tireless efforts have significantly advanced the malaria elimination agenda in Ghana,” the statement read.

“The progress made under your leadership, especially the reduction in malaria morbidity and mortality, is a testament to your dedication and collaborative spirit.”

AMMREN also acknowledged the pivotal role the outgoing manager played in strengthening partnerships with the media to enhance public awareness and drive behavioural change.

“We deeply value your unwavering belief in the power of the media as a critical partner in the fight against malaria.
