Executive Members of the African Refiners and Distributors Association (ARDA) are in the country to understudy the operations of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA).
The delegation, led by the ARDA Executive Secretary, Anibor Ohole Kragha, expects to learn best practices from the NPA that will enhance the regulatory and operational regimes in the downstream petroleum industry of ARDA member countries.

Welcoming the ARDA delegation, the NPA Chief Executive, Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, said the Authority was ready to share best practices in this peer-to-peer learning engagement.
Mr. Tameklo recalled attending the last ARDA Week celebration in Cape Town, South Africa. He lauded such a meeting of great African brains, indicating that it was a platform for peer review and feedback.
In his remarks, Mr. Kragha commended the NPA for its very supportive role in the executive committee of ARDA.
He said the study tour was aimed at getting more insights to improve operations in the refinery and distribution of petroleum products.

Officials from the various directorates of NPA, including the Unified Petroleum Pricing Fund (UPPF), the Planning and Economic Regulation, Legal and Gas took turns to brief the delegation on their respective mandates and operations.
