The Association of Corporate Treasurers of Ghana (ACTG) has joined the nation in mourning the eight distinguished Ghanaians who died in the tragic military helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
In a statement signed by its president, Dr. Peter Kwesi Terkper, the ACTG paid glowing tribute to Defence Minister Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah; Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed; Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator and former Agriculture Minister Alhaji Muniru Mohammed; Vice Chairman of the NDC and former Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Samuel Sarpong; former NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Obuasi East Samuel Aboagye; Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala; Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu; and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah of the Ghana Air Force.

“These individuals served our nation with courage, vision, and unwavering dedication. Their collective sacrifice leaves an indelible mark on Ghana’s history and on the hearts of many,” the statement read.
The association expressed its solidarity with the bereaved families and called on all Ghanaians to honour the legacies of the deceased by upholding the values of service, integrity, innovation, and national unity.
“On behalf of the Professional Body of the Association of Corporate Treasurers of Ghana, we say Rest in Peace,” Dr. Terkper said.
