Abronye DC Alleges Former Ghana High Commissioner to India Hates Dr. Bawumia Over Exposed Corruption

Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has made serious allegations against former Ghana High Commissioner to India, H.E. Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh.

Speaking on his show The Evidence on Ohia TV, Abronye DC claimed that Cheremeh harbors resentment towards Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 presidential flagbearer, because Bawumia intervened to stop him from committing a crime.

According to Abronye DC, Dr. Bawumia ordered Cheremeh to return money to an individual named Alhaji, details about the person and the amount were not fully disclosed.

Abronye said this directive was intended to prevent wrongdoing, but instead has fueled a deep-seated animosity from Cheremeh towards the Vice President.

He explained, “Bawumia told you that you had until 6 o’clock to return the money you took from Alhaji to purchase land. Because Bawumia forced you to return the money, you now say he is not a good man. The problem is, you have been involved in numerous corrupt acts, but the only one you got caught for is what Bawumia intervened in. Now, you paint Bawumia as a villain.”

Abronye DC further reminded his audience of an incident during Cheremeh’s tenure as Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, when he visited Tarkwa.

Abronye stated “He is the only sector minister in Ghana’s history since the Fourth Republic began in 1992 to be arrested by a Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and placed in custody.

“The former Tarkwa Municipal Chief Executive arrested him because the minister was moving from one illegal mining (galamsey) site to another, collecting money,” Abronye alleged.

He added that the former Tarkwa Municipal Chief Executive courageously made history by detaining a sitting minister due to his alleged involvement in illicit activities.
