Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, who received the laptops at a brief ceremony, described Dr. Ofori Sarpong as a “strategic partner to the University of Ghana.”

Renowned Ghanaian entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, has demonstrated his continued commitment to education by donating 20 brand-new laptops to support the University of Ghana’s ‘One Student, One Laptop’ initiative.

The laptops were presented during a brief ceremony at the university, attended by Vice-Chancellor Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo and other senior university officials.

Receiving the donation, Prof. Amfo described Dr. Ofori Sarpong as a “strategic partner and true friend of the University of Ghana,” expressing heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the university management. She emphasized that the contribution would significantly boost the academic experience of beneficiary students.

Pro Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Gordon Awandare, assured Dr. Ofori Sarpong that the donated laptops would be distributed transparently and equitably among deserving students.
